Christian Sweetser is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in empowering businesses to make strong decisions through harnessing the power of data. His expertise includes strategic capital transactions, capital and operating lease structuring and negotiations, international investments and real estate portfolio management. Christian is hailed for his efficiency and his strong work ethics that focus on transparency, informed decisions and measurable results.
Christian joined Silverado in June of 2016, bringing his exceptional skills in the development, organization and utilization of analytics platforms to his role as Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities include the development and management of tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to key stakeholders throughout the organization. By applying his considerable skills to a range of Silverado’s operation data, Christian helps ensure that all aspects of the business run smoothly and that the company is able to deliver its signature care at optimal efficiency. In July of 2018 Christian became the Senior Vice President, Analytics and Operations – At Home, taking stewardship of the Silverado At Home service line in addition to his existing role.
Prior to joining Silverado, Christian spent five years with Welltower Inc. (NYSE: HCN) first as Vice President of Finance and later as Vice President International. He was responsible for the coordination, consolidation and analytics across the company’s portfolio. As Vice President of International, Christian served as a director on all international boards and oversaw all foreign transactions, risk management and hedging for a $5B international real estate portfolio across four countries.
In addition to his executive career, Christian is a research committee board member of the National Investment Centers for Seniors Housing & Care Association and former co-chair of the Wealth Management Society of Nebraska. He is a frequent speaker at the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing (NIC) and for Collaborative Ontario Retirement Econometrics (CORE). Christian B. Sweetser holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a cum laude BS from Cornell University. In addition, Mr. Sweetser is a CFA charterholder.
