Random Acts of Kindness
Twelve year-old Audrey is the daughter of one of our amazing Hospice volunteers, Robyn. Audrey is currently in a GATE class called ‘Random Acts of Kindness,’ which is focused on performing acts of kindness in everyday life. Robyn suggested that one such act could be to draw a picture for or write a letter to one of her hospice patients.
Inspired by her mother’s suggestion, Audrey shared the idea with her teacher, who teacher thought it was such a great idea that she assigned the project to the WHOLE class. All the students wrote letters and made bookmarks for our patients. Even though the message comes from afar, the joy felt by patients and the students sharing their love is a connection felt at a distance
