Silverado Gives Back This Christmas
December 24, 2018
In 2014, Silverado Hospice North Houston was inspired to adopt four kids through the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
Billy S., a Silverado Hospice patient, volunteered ringing bells for the Salvation Army at Christmas for many years. He loved making people smile, and ringing bells through the Salvation Army brought many smiles to many faces. 2014 was his last Christmas and his last to ring bells.
Billy’s kind and genuine heart inspired Silverado North Houston to adopt children from the Salvation Army Christmas Tree and spread the joy! We decided we would do this every year and call the event “Billy’s Kids” in his name.
This year we teamed up with Billy’s family and adopted four children! Our staff came together and donated gifts to make sure these kids had something under the tree for Christmas. We loved shopping for our kids and can just imagine the smiles on their faces this Christmas morning.May the memories of those we’ve lost shine bright this holiday season. Billy, you are gone but you are certainly not forgotten! Merry Christmas from our Silverado family to yours!
